Rewards Credit Cards

Post subject: What Happend?
First we had silver, Gold, Platnium. then titanium, now we just have cards. Back in the day, those names meant something. Now it's all about rewards. What's next????

I think Citi Simplicity is more than a little refreshing (if only the rate were discounted in exchange for the rewards foregone ...)

There are higher end cards these days (Visa Signature and World MaserCard), but it's mostly marketing hype.

My second credit card, after only 6 months of having a credit history, was a Platinum Card. I remember joking that if I could get one at that time, Platinum must not mean that much, lol.

I'd have to say that I like my Visa Signature -- some cool benefits like Visa Dining and House Of Blues concert ticketing, among others. I have a World Mastercard too but it seems to be a little more generic.
