On the Amex website:
While looking at your account summary you click on “Recent Activity” then under the credit line section you have a link called ” Request a Credit Increase”. they will ask for your “4-digit number printed just above account number on Card”. Enter that and then the screen will either offer you an additional amount of credit which you can choose to accept ( Which is what people are talking about when they say they received some love!) or the screen will say “Request an Increased Line of Credit” and then there is an application to fill out. DON’T fill that out! Wait for Amex to give you some LOVE !!! Many people believe that screen means a hard inquiry on your Credit Report.
Hope this helps !

Bank of America’s is under customer service menu. Under Services you can select Request Credit Line Increase.
On Chase’s website it is under Customer Center. Then under Credit Card there is an Increase Credit Limit link.
Any luck with Amex?
