Providian Credit Card Review

Post subject: Please help! Question about the Providian credit card.

I applied for this card over a week ago and it said my application was under review . When I call to check the status of my application the woman says it is taking 3-4 weeks to process it. Does it really take that long

Normally it doesn't take that long unless they need to verify something... How's your credit?

My credit score is about 660-670. I dont know if thats good enough to get the Providian card.

That should be enough if it's not a drop from the 700's club.. In other words if you're there not because of recent derogs. Give it a couple more days, and call back to re-check the status... Sometimes you get different things from different reps...

I think they tell you to give themselves time to process.
In this day and age a yes or no should be given instantly, you probably are a "maybe" for some reason and they need to take a closer look at your credit report.
