Congrats! Interesting thread. I admire your efforts. Actually, 16.74% isn't too bad for a student card, although 13.74% is better. :0) How long have you had the account?
Out of curiosity, how did you find out about our website?

Card: Bank of America Visa platinum. Originally 15.74% Variable to 14.74% Variable. Then to 9.9% fixed and 3 months ago, down to 8.9% fixed. There was no reason for me to push it further since I never carry a balance. I had the card for 24 months--my first credit card.

Remember that student credit cards have a slighty higher rate than regular credit card.

I have had the mastercard dividend account for maybe 8 months and it started out at 13.74% but then they raised it a couple percent so I called and asked for a lower rate and they knocked off a few percent.
I heard about this site from doing credit card related searches on yahoo.
