Post subject: Derogatory No More!!?
Hello, since last year I have had two derogatory credit card accounts on my credit report from all three agencies.
For some reason one of the derogatory accounts no longer shows up on my reports from Equifax and Experian. It only shows up on Transunion.
Why is that? How could it be removed so fast? Will it come back?
I also noticed that my score went up when this happened.
Does anyone have any insight or experience with this?

Has it been 7 years since the accounts went derog. Even if they only showed up two years ago, 7 years after the accounts went derog, they have to be removed

There are a number of reasons why this might happen … I’m pretty sure that if the removal occurred on two of your bureau reports that this was intentionally initiated by the creditor.
If you’d like us to make some informed guesses (and that’s likely as good as any reply will get), tell us the creditor and the dates/types of delinquency.
I imagine you might be tempted to dispute the remaining negative reported for that account on TU. In general, I advise not disputing any accurate reporting (many disagree with me). But I’ll note that there’s likely no negative consequence should you choose to do so. Frankly, I’d expect that they’ll affirm the reporting, despite the removal on the other two bureau reports. There’s a chance that this one will be removed as well. In any case, it’s extremely unlikely that filing a dispute with TransUnion would result in reinsertion of the delinquencies onto the other two bureau reports.
There’s one caveat to be noted here. I expect you obtained a 3-in-1 report. There have been recent reports that a dispute with an entry on one report through the 3-in-1 agency resulted in reinsertion to the other bureau reports.
That would suggest that if you decide to dispute, you do so directly with TransUnion (no problem, of course, if that was the source of your 3-in-1). If the 3-in-1 wasn’t purchased from them, you may be required to purchase a report directly from TU in order to dispute it with them directly. Otherwise, the only avenue for dispute will be through your 3-in-1 source.
See why I suggest letting it be??
