Post subject: question about capitol one
what has been everyones opinion/experience with capital one. Ever since i got my 2nd CC 3 months ago, which was with Chase, i keep getting offers from capitol one, in fact i have gotten 4 in those 3 months. I don't plan on trying to get one because at the moment 2 CC's is all i need, and besides the fact i want my next CC to be a amex, since i hear so much good things about the company, customer service, and the deals for cards they have. However, im not going with that for like another year or so but im curious about Capitol one, because i don't know anyone that has a CC from them, so i was wondering how popular they are

You'll receive a lot of comments about Capital One, most of them negative. They do a LOT of mailers, even after you get their credit card. Capital One was great for me in rebuilding my credit. If your credit scores are healthy however, there's no reason to get a Capital One card. Check out CitiBank, Chase, AmEx, and credit unions.

Capital One gave me a tiny $300 limit. I've been with them 2 years! They refuse to give me a CLI. I'm paying this one off and cancelling it.
They are very stingy!

If your scores are good, stay away from Capital One, your going to get a low limit and it wont be raised

AND
they won;t even report that CL. They only report High Balance.
Like JL said, go somewhere else if you have good scores already. They were good for my rebuilding but my 700 limit is a joke compared to my other cards.
(and avoid Juniper too)

If you travel over seas, Cap1 doesn't charge foreign currency conversion fees. That can save you 1% to 3%.
