When I openned my bill, I noticed a thing that said if I called the 800 # I could upgrade to “select status” without another application? Has anyone ever done that? What does select status mean (in other words, what would be the benefit to me if I did this)? This is my card with the biggest ballance so if it is going to cost me more then help me I’d rather not bother. Has anyone else gotten this?

Good question, because the difference has never been apparent to me.

I haven’t looked closely at the benefits, but I expect “Select” adds a couple of somewhat marginal benefits (say, AD&D ins while traveling maybe, or lost luggage insurance).

There should be no change in account terms if you change account types. Go ahead and give them a call Report back on what you hear
