Transferring a Home Equity Line of Credit to a Credit Card

Post subject: Transferring a Home Equity Line

I have a home eguity line of credit with Countrywide loans. My balance is right around 3,000. With this being an adjustable rate, and with rates going up, Id love to get rid of some of this interest.

I know I can feasibly and comfortably pay off this balance in less than a year, so is there a card out there that would allow me to transfer my home equity balance to an introductory 0% rate?

Any help or comments appreciated, God Bless!

Tack,

Greetings and welcome to the board! They just about all will allow you to do this (you'll want to verify this before you apply). You can search for the best rated balance transfer offers here:

Good luck and let us know how things turn out...

Thanks for the advice.

I wasn't sure if i could transfer a home equity line, but after reading a great deal of this forum, I see you can transfer dang near anything.

Countrywide says that Ill have to pay 300 dollars early termination fee for closing my account early. However, upon doing the math, 300 is very small considering the interest I would pay throughout the life of the account.

This forum is a great tool for making credit work for you,,,thanks again!!!
