Promitional Credit Card Offers

Post subject: Do credit card companies give promo-type offers to people...

who already have their cards?

I'm wondering if I'll see any good offers such as bonus reward points if I hold my cards but don't use them a lot. I got some great promo offers which enticed me to get these cards....now I'm looking for some great offers to entice me to keep them...lol

I have a card for everything, from hotel stays (3 branded cards for different chains), car rentals, business electronics, drugs, groceries, gas, utilities, etc. Most will only be used 1 to 2 times per year at most. I'd like to keep them, but since they are so new I'd ditch a couple if better promos came along. What do you all think?

Sure - they'll likely give offers to get you to use the card if you haven't used it in a while - e.g. Balance Transfer offers at low rates, double rewards points offers on certain types of purchases or a certain minimum number of purchases within a specified time frame (Amex), etc.

Another option is to call up and ask for a retention offer on an existing card.
