if you pay $15 ..you available balance will be $5 + $15 = $20…

i would suggest pay more than just minimum…

your overall utilization should not be more than 29%

SHouldn’t that be 5+ 15 then minus the interest on the balance…

so if the interest is 13 bux them the new available would be 7 dollars

Cap1 CL is ridiculous most of the time. My pal, earning a good salary in the finance industry has a $300 limit.

One night out = 20% utilisation.
A jacket = 50% utilisation.
She has her eye on an mp3 player but can’t charge it to the card.

mouse is right, all this utilization mumbo jumbo is banana oil. Utilization only preoccupies credit score junkies and addicts. Unless one is getting ready to apply for a hefty mortgage or the likes, worrying about it is a one way ticket to an ulcer.

Now if your monumental, overall utilization goes outa control, one bank that blows a gasket is Chase.

Well, easy for you to say I guess. I owe hundreds of thousands of dollars on credit cards. If my scores go down, the banks can kill my credit limits and raise my rates–and that can seriously affect my prospects, regardless of my having no plans to apply for a “hefty mortgage” in the future. I like paying 0-3% on what I owe; I wouldn’t like having those lines cancelled or paying more.
