Credit Tips: Expired Credit Card Tips

Post subject: Expired cards

Hi,
Forgive my stupidity on this but I just found some expired cards and am wondering if they automatically close the accounts after a certain amount of time. I’d hate to have to call these people and listen to their wonderful offers that I don’t need!

They’re more likely just reported to the credit bureaus as inactive rather than being closed completely. Although they probably should have sent you new cards at some point. I think it would be worth a phone call or two to find out.

they usually send out new cards…they sent me one a month before it was going to expire
