Post subject: Annual fees - Who pays them?

I don’t pay annual fees - with all the offers currently out there with no annual fee, I’m not sure why anyone would pay one.

Of course if the benefits of the card, such as an unusually high cash back rate outweighed the annual fee, then I would consider an annual fee. I’d like to hear from people who are paying an annual fee and feel justified in doing so.

I bet there are a lot of people out there who are paying annual fees because they just haven’t paid attention to their card’s terms and conditions, but would be much better offer applying for a feeless card.

“IF” I don’t pay the annual fee…I get no AMEX DELTA MILES

2 MILES PER $1
3 MILES PER $1

25% BONUS FOR OVER $5,000 IN ONE MONTH

Get that with a no fee card

I pay a $90 annual fee on my AMEX Gold card. I know all about the other cards. However, I use all the features of the card and it pays me back in savings at about $300+ per year plus any membership rewards point.

Annual fee? I think not.

Okay, so it didn’t take long to hear form two card holders satisfied with paying a fee, and both were able to justify paying it.

I still believe however, that there are many more people out there who may not be fully utilizing their rewards options, and therefore would be better off applying
for a new credit card with no annual fee.
