4% Cash Back on Utilities with Citi Credit Card

Post subject: Citi Dividend 4% cash back on Utilities

Here's the deal... When I first got my Citi Dividend Platinum Select card they were giving me 4% cash back on "utilities" for the first 2 or 3 statements. After the 2nd or 3rd statement this cash back "bonus" suddenly ended. I saw nothing about this bonus in any documentation or fine print. Does anyone know anything about this? I'd like to have this kind of a "bonus" cash back again in the future if possible!

I think it was my Satellite TV they were giving me 4% cash back on (DishNetwork).

There are two possibilities that I can think of:

1. The transactions were mistakenly coded. I have encountered similar error in coding with Chase's PerfectCard which mistakenly coded purchases at a grocery store as gasoline. Or,

2. You got some kind of time-limited offer. I have received 5% for restaraunt purchases for several months; other got 5% for home improvement purchases.

Seems like I remember this and I think it may have been a limited time offer. I turn 36 on Sunday so don't quote me on this!
