Has anyone been able to negotiate a no-transaction-fee balance transfer with MBNA? Customer service seems to balk at my requests.

Seems to or have they balked? I have never tried but wouldn’t think it would work. I just take what is offered and if I don’t like it, I move to another card offer. Considering that several are moving to “no cap” on bt fees, I am considering a 50-75 fee might be considered a good deal in a couple of years.
If you are looking for a better deal, I would consider threatening to close the account, and see if they give you a retention offer.

MBNA doesn't waive the $75.00 fee
(years ago they did FREE BT's all the time)
They actually have some "NO MAX" offers
$20,000 X 0.03 = $600.00 BT FEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
CHOKE ON THAT!!!!!!!!!
