MBNA Online Credit Card Payment Review

Post subject: MBNA ONLINE PAYMENTS AND AUTO PAY

Has anybody seen that MBNA is the only credit card company that doesn't allow you to make an automatic minimum payment online? Also they succor you into forgetting that your promotional rate expires and thus minimum payment will one day fall short due to the lack of your useless "auto pay" payment for a preset amount....

On top of this their timing schedule of online payment receipt vs due date is so loopholed that they may as well tie you up before clicking the pay now button.....

Nonsense. You can pay your MBNA bill online; you can find out the answers to those questions online or by a phone call; you can send in payment a day or two earlier if you can't figure out what days are holidays, weekends, or other non-banking days. Blaming MBNA for your inability to function in such things is just silly. Why do you need a box to check for your minimum payment? Is filling in the amount you want to pay such a great burden to you? Your minimum payment and when it's due show up in several spots online.

So you want THEM to do your work for you?????

The statement generates

THEY TELL YOU WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN!!!

Say it is 01/10

On 01/10 or 01/11 you go ON-LINE and see the statement......minimum payment is due say 01/25

Schedule your minimum payment some time between NOW and 01/25
THE PAYMENT WILL HAPPEN ALL BY ITSELF LATE EVENING 01/24 AND BE SENT AUTOMATICALLY TO YOUR BANK

It will be real easy

You can schedule up yo 1 year out

You could make a payment every 1st day of the munth if you wanted to

Also you don't have to pay on the due date you can pay a week before or a day before

sorry to hear if you messed up an offer, but that is why they offer these 0% offers. It isnt free money. They figure enough people will mess up.

I'm with fraudfighter. When my CC bills were out of control with high interest rates, I didn't *want* to login and look at my statement. I set up an auto payment and one month it wasn't enough. I didn't find out until the late fee hit.

The only thing I can think of is, give them a call and tell them it was an honest mistake. Hopefully they'll reinstate your good rate.
