Post subject: Good starter cards...
I'm new to the Credit field, and am looking for a good start-up card to help me build credit. I'm 19, working full-time, and not going to school yet. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Orchard bank is a good card to start with to establish your credit, they also report to all 3 credit bureaus monthly. The annual fees start from, I think $39 to $79 for the year, I believe this is base on your credit score.

There are some secured credit cards you can get also, the orchard bank credit card comes in unsecured and secure also. They will let you know which one you will be approve of. Some people on this forum don't believe they should have to pay big annual fee for credit cards. However I disagree with them. $59.00 annual fees for the year is not that much when you are trying to establish credit, or re-establish credit credit. Yes, they are some companies who annual fees may be lower, but it comes with certain stipulation.

Apply for any of the major credit cards and see what happens. Why pay a fee for a secured card when you might be able to get an unsecured card with no fee?
There are thousands of good cards out there. I'd suggest starting with the major issuers. Go to the Web sites of Citibank, Chase, and/or Bank of America, pick one of the cards to apply for online, and submit your applicaion.
It would be a good idea to get a credit report first, though, so you could correct any erroneous information on it before you apply....
