how many people here use the costco amex card? my wife and i were thinking about getting it. 3% for eating out, 2% for travel, 1% for costco purchase. also if you have the excutive membership, that give you an additional 2% at costco. so if you use your membership card, plus amex you get 3%. amex sends you a cash check every feb. costco sends your check once a year on your renewel. as far as the terms and what the membership desk said, there is no cap. also the costco amex has no annual fee. what you guys think? by the way, the CL ranges from $2k-100k. you can also carry a balance, but i dont think you really want to with an APR @ 16.24%. my wife and i will be PIF monthly.

I have the Costco Amex, mainly for two reasons - to have credit card to use at costco and for my business and travel, 2% on travel is very nice.

I have had it for just a little over a year now and no problems. Rebate was for $369 and I only use it for costco and 2%+ benefits (travel and restaurants). We use other cards for our regular credit card stuff.

I hate AMEX statements as they are always really long, even without many transactions. I just checked my Feb statment. It was 8 pages (front and back, so four sheets) and we only had 18 total transactions. It took only 14 transactions to fill up one full page. If I used this for my regular credit card the statement would probably be 20+ pages.

However, I do really like that if you have an second card holder, their account # is different and the statement breaks out their purchases seperately. It works well for me because I use my card for business and we use DH card for personal. Also, if you lose one card you don’t have to cancel both cards.
