Citibank Pay Tags

When I logged into my Citibank account I noticed that they are now going to be offering Pay tags to be used with the Paypass (MasterCard) readers. It only stated that it will be coming soon and the tag will be free with my account. I love technology!

I also love technology, but there's such a thing as misuse of technology. What, I don't have enough stuff already hanging from my keyring? Or what if I'm looking for my keys near a bank of registers and the tag accidently faces a reader. I just might have purchased something for the guy who's checking out. No thanks, I'll stick with the old fashioned way even if it'll cost me an extra 5 seconds per checkout.

Sorry Ira, I don't share your cynicism and will not subscribe to your philosophy on this. I think that we are looking at the future of credit cards with this type of technology. Better to embrace it now then hide in the past.
