BP Citibank Gas Credit Card

Post subject: BP Citibank Gas Card.....HELP!!!
I have a BP/Citibank Gas card account on my credit report that I have been trying to pay off for FOREVER!! Is anyone else having the problem of not being able to locate ANYONE to pay their bill!?!? This seems so crazy to me....I am trying to GIVE THEM MY MONEY but cant find anyone to give it too.... Can anyone offer any advise?? Husband and I are trying to buy a home and really dont need ANYTHING (especially as small as this) to hold us up....SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!

I would suggest that you try to register for online access at Citibank's website, to see if you can pay it online.
If that doesn't work, call the number on the card to see if they can tell you where the account was sent - i.e. sold to a collection agency, etc., and give you that phone number.
Also, your credit report should have the phone number for whatever company is reporting the delinquent account (assuming it's no longer with Citibank).
If you can't track it down after all of this, you might want to dispute it on all three credit reports. That will give the creditor 30 days to verify the debt, which will be unlikely if they aren't even contacting you to collect on it. So many delinquent accounts get sold in large batches, that it's easy for some to get lost in the shuffle - especially ones with small balances that commission-based collectors don't care to waste their time on.

I really appreciate all your advice. It is a really old account, so I dont even have the card anymore and the Credit Report has an address but no phone number....so I will do a dispute online and see what happens....thanks again!!
