Credit Tips: Rate Increase by Illigitimate Credit Card Company

They keep saying they review my history and raise my rates now 57.75. What can I do to get them to lower it and pay them off and cut up the card. These people are real crooks. and no I have not been late with any payments.

Hi Jane,

WWDirect doesn’t sound like a legitimate credit card. 57% is way out of line.

Look at card reports on this site. There are a lot of good deals on unsecured cards and even some secured cards.

If possible, apply for a credit card and transfer the balance out of wwdirect. There are numerous offers out there with 0% on transfers for 6 months or longer.

WWDirect sounds like an outright scam.

www.direct.com is Direct Federal Credit Union out of Needham, MA. Is this who you’re talking about?
