Number of American Express Credit Cards

Post subject: AMEX cards how many
heres another question, I notice that Amex offers a lot of cards how many do they allow their cardmembers to carry? In other words, if I have a Gold card and the Delta Card would 2 cards be the maximum to carry for AMEX?

I Have Blue Cash, Jet Blue, Hilton HHonors and Clear for total of for Had the gold card as well but closed it. Seems to be the consensus that if you have a mixture of charge and credit cards with them your more likely to get a FR. on creditboards.com there are people that have 6-10 amex cards.

FR = Financial Review
Basically they ask you to prove your income etc..... May reduce your credit lines etc..

I don't have any Amex now, but I had five cards at one point (last year): 2 blue, Blue Cash, Hilton Honors and Starwood. They didn't have high limits though, ranged 3000 to 5000$. I am told Amex has no problem with the number of cards but MAY adjust the total credit line (on all cards combined) based on your credit status and income.
