Can a Credit Card Pay for Home Mortgage?

Ok, is it even possible to pay your mortgage with Citi Platinum Dividend card? Could I somehow pay and get the 1% cashback each month? Every penny helps ya know?

I'm getting ready to close on house here shortly and was just wondering.

You could get a cash advance to do it... but I don't think you can pay online with a credit card... at least I can't and I have my mortgage thru Citi...

I've had people take cash advances on credit cards to put a down payment on a house... they had a specific type of loan that allowed them not to verify where the money was coming from... but I have seen it done.

I really doubt it (at least as a purchase to get cash back). I know capital one has "purchase checks" that some have used (like polonious). MBNA has the e-bill pay that I have been using, but that doesnt count towards rewards points as I recall.

No. Best you can do is float the payment for a little while like maddybeagle says.
