Person With Poor Credit In Need of a Credit Card

Post subject: poor credit, need a card

I just finished college and I have poor credit (just under 600) because I was late with some payments on one of my credit cards and on my cell phone bill. I cancelled my credit card accounts 1 1/2 years ago b/c I in school, had vitually no income, and had trouble controlling my spending.

I now will be starting a good paying job (~50k) and want to rebuild. The grace period for my student loans is coming to a close so I will be making those monthly payments. To speed my credit's recovery, I would also like to get a card. Any suggestions?
