Credit Rating Needed for Credit Card

Post subject: FICO SCORE REQUIRED FOR Credit Card
Does anyone know what fico score is required to be able to obtain a standard credit card?

I would guess above 600 secured credit card, I know scores as low as 620 can get regular credit cards... but better if you can be above 650 range.. or higher for that matter.
But each creditor differs one to the next on their approval policy so what you might be approved with on one, might not work on the next.
Other things can be pending like income, and also the nature of the derogitory information that got your score that low... like if it is judgments, bankruptcy, tax liens... the real bad ones usually will sink you other then having collections / charge off.. then if they are paid or not and the amount if unpaid that is still owing.
As well as the lenght of time since outstanding on such accounts.
There may be some that extend credit below 599, but I would not recommend someone trying with that low of score, likely to rack up a lot of denials before you found that one that approved you, and the inquiries would just go to hurt a score more that is already that low.
