i was just wondering if your going to purchase a new home and your personal credit scores are not as high as the lenders would like will they consider combinding you & your spouses credit scores together to reach the score they would like???

i am very new to all this credit scoring process and all.

They will only go by one spouses credit score - they pull all 3 credit reporting agency's scores and go with the middle for the loan approval.

I am not versed in this area, but think they take the spouse with the most income, unless both will be applying for loan then they will go after the higher scores among the spouses.

It is one or the other on the set they look at... if they just pull a 2 bureau credit report, then they take the higher score of the two.

Say his was 633 and hers was 643 that would give a score of 1276 but there ain't such score as that.
