Post subject: When Are Credit Card Late Payments Reported to the Bureau?
Do any of the major credit card companies report payments less than 30 days late to the credit bureaus? Besides the late fees involved and/or the higher interest rates, can these payments hurt your credit score? Say 5 days late or 10 days.

Any late payment has to go to 30 days before it reports on your credit report. Being 1 or 29 days late will not effect your credit rating, although it may effect your rating with the particular company.

Depending on your grace period of your account if a payment is not received by the next cycle date or statement cut date that is also where it will show as being 30 days past due. So if your due date goes by with no payment and your next statement goes out then you're past due 30 days. Some companies do not report 30 days late until you are 60 days but your history still stays with the company and it can cause your APR to go up.

Yes that is important to note them grace periods, because your due date is the end of the 30th day period. And missing it one day can be considered by the creditor as 30 days late.
