Credit Tips: What is Average Daily Credit Card Balance?

Post subject: What is Average Daily Credit Card Balance?

I received my credit card statment today from Providian for a total of $179.82, and under Average Daily Balance next to Standard Purchase I saw $119.45 and under Finance Charges as 0.00. Before I just saw 0.00 under the Average Daily Balance on my Providian card and on my other credit cards. I called Providian and they said that I don’t need to worry about that. I just want to get some other opinions just to be sure.

They’re right. Don’t worry about it. If you pay off your balance every month, none of that stuff matters. You’ll always see zero in finance charges. THAT’S what matters. The rest only comes into play if you carry a balance.
