I applied upon line for your card at CardRatings.org and was approved, however I need to transfer my current mastercard balance of 8,700. The credit limit I was approved for was 2,500. What can I do to increase the amount to cover the needed transfer. My current interest rate is 16.99 and the company will not lower it.

Jody,
Which card did you apply for? You will need to contact the credit card company directly to request a credit limit increase. We are an independent organization and are not associated with any banks or credit card issuers.
Please be advised that it is difficult to be granted a credit limit increase if you are a new card holder. You are more likely to be granted an increase after you have used your card responsibly for 6-12 months.
Let me know if we can be of any further help.
