I have been applying for a business visa. The business is our small catholic church mission. Because my personal credit is extremely poor, we get turned down. Many applications ask for soc sec no of applicant. (they want a personal guaranty person) It seems to me that if a business (church) such as ours with perfect credit can pay our bills and need the money to promote our charitable works, then it should not be penalized for MY poor credit. Moreover, the way I govern the finances of the church with the board has no connection in the way I have governed my personal finances. Some people have told me to put the church ID nuymber in place of ssn. Are there any visa cards that will accept church fed id nos as ssn and NOT ask for personal as well? Thanks. rr

Raymond,
Thanks for your post! A couple of thoughts...
1) Attach a paragraph or two to the application explaining your situation.
2) Use someone else's social.
Hope this helps!
