To Whom This May Concern:

We were very pleased to come across your website because we are in the
process of credit card shopping. I am curious, however, as to where you
received your information stating that there is “no fee” for the GE
Rewards MC from First-USA. We have had this card for several years and
in the past couple years they have started charging a $25.00 annual
fee. This is the reason we decided to see what was available with cash
back offers. I am only curious because maybe we are not obligated to
pay this fee.

Got this info. from the “horse’s mouth”….from a First USA customer service
rep. I called them again today to verify and they confirmed for a second
time that the card does not have an annual fee. If you haven’t already, I
would definitely call them and protest. If they persist…consider AmEx or
Discover.

I had a GE card that I cancelled a few years ago because they wanted to add a charge to my account because I had paid the balance every month. The first year I had it, I received the maximum refund of $140.00. The second year is when I was notified that any card holder who had not paid a finance charge by the end of the year would be accessed a fee — so I cancelled the card and went else where.
