One question that is nagging me is this: a while back I heard
that some
card companies began charging for overseas purchases, i.e.,
instead of
paying according to the exchange rate (which is typically very
good for
banks), you pay by the exchange rate PLUS something like 2%.
There is no
mention of this on your website, and I'd like to know what cards
do and
which don't charge this fee.
Second, how would I go about finding out which countries the
auto rental
coverage is good for? For instance, on my current First USA card,
Ireland is specifically not covered, and I'd like to find a card
that
covers Ireland, but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to do
this.
Finally, as the nature of my two questions shows, how about a
section on
your website covering the aspects of foreign travel with respect
to the
various cards? I know I'd be interested, and with all the
worldly travel
these days, it seems like lots of other people would be too.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.
