What, if any, affects are there to your credit if you apply for a credit card? I know if a person is applying for a loan an inquiry will be posted. Does it happen the same way with credit cards?

Dear sbocks,

Each time you apply for a credit card your credit report is checked (in most cases) and an inquiry is posted on your credit profile. Though this is quite normal, you do not want to apply to too many credit cards in any one time, as each inquiry lowers your credit score.

Sincerely,
