Very recently, a whole batch of my outgoing mail(postal) has been stolen, and I found out that a credit card application (completely filled out) of mine was included.
Can anyone be kind enough to tell me where I can get help to prevent that thief to use my personal information and obtain a credit card? I am very angry and I need some good advice.
I would appreciate it very much.
Thank You

Contact all three credit bureaus immediately. You'll need to tell them to put a "Fraud Flag" on your account. That way, if the thief attempts to apply for credit in your name, the financial institution will contact you at the number listed on your bureau reports. I would also recommend getting your Social Security number changed by contacting the Social Security Administration in your state.
You may also consider filing a police report.
Below is the contact information you'll need in order to inform the three major credit bureaus of fraud:
Equifax: 1 800 525 6285
TransUnion: 1 800 680 7289
Experian: 1 888 397 3742
