I hear many people say that they get several credit offers by mail. I haven't received any in a couple of years but, would love to receive some. How can I improve my chances of receiving offers by mail. Sometimes I read about great credit card offers on the messageboards and contact the company. They inform me that the offers are only available if I was solicited by mail. It is not for the general public.

Also does anyone know of any other credit card that offers interest rates based on the LIBOR rate? The LIBOR rate is always lower than the prime rate. Capital One offers this rate because I had it. But I cancelled my card after they lowered my credit limit to a measly $500.

If you never explicitly asked to be removed from mailing lists, and it you have credit accounts with issuers that report to credit bureaus, you should be getting those mail offers. The better your credit is, the better those offers should be. You might want to check your credit reports and see what's in there that probably cools down cretitor's interest in you.

Definately get all three of your reports from experian, transunion and equifax. Also, sign up for everything on the internet that interests you and you will soon be added to tons of mailing lists and the creditors you seek will find you.

I don't think this is the way to go. It works much better if you have positive information on your credit reports with the crdit bureaus, and potential creditors get your name and address by credit bureau database pre-screening. This way you are much more likely to qualify for that mail offer you are interested in.
