I am about to draw up a business plan for a business idea I have had. It would involve hefty research into what deals are on offer for the retailer.

Could you advise me where I would be able to find what percentage of a credit card purchase by a consumer goes to the retailer?

I'd gratly appreciate your help.

Joseph,

Thanks for your recent inquiry! Our site is mainly geared toward consumers, but I hopefully the following info. will be helpful. A general response to your question is 95%-97.5% depending on various factors. You can find a more detailed explanation at the following web site (look for the subheading entitled "Understanding your merchant provider’s rates and fees").

Hope this helps.
