Being aware of all of the information concerning all of your credit cards
is the only way that consumers can make really informed decisions. We need
to keep information about our cards at our disposal.
Do a spread sheet with your current rate of interest, and all of extra
charges that credit card companies like to charge. List each credit card
company. Finance fees, annual fees, late payment fees, and there are others,
like transfer fees. Especially list when interest rates and each card
expires.
This requires about fifteen minutes of your time and will probably be the
best time spent in years.
You cannot just refuse those offers of low interest rates or perks without
considering them. The only way is to compare apples to apples.
Credit card companies make their jprofit from the extra charges and you
should make your decisions based on the money you can save with information.
