Since capital one advertises heavily on this website, can you answer this question? Can you go the website and click to apply for the Olympic Card? Then, can you read the terms and conditions? What are the terms and conditions if you do not qualify for the Platinum card and get a gold card? Remember, just look at that page for the terms and condition. Any clarification would be beneficial. Thanks.

You probally won't find much clarification. The offers are intentionally vague to bait you in. Then, you guessed it the ol' switcharoonie' It is the American way.

Go back to the site and look for all the fine print that you can and the answer will magically appear.

Remember, you can never be totally approved until all your information is verified. This could take up to 4 weeks. Get it through your head that the credit card compaies need information from you to get your money. You as an individual need them more.

Remember, credit is a priveledge, not a right.

Speaking of rights, a class action suit is about the only thing that curbs deceptive and misleading advertising. The law vary from state to state. In MD, they are pretty tough on these laws.

Good luck and always read the fine print

I can't find anything different between the two besides the credit limit and cardholder benefits. The Gold Card will have a credit limit between $500 to $4999 while those approved for the Platinum Card will receive a minimum credit limit of $5000.

The 0.0% Introductory Rate for *purchases* and 9.9% Fixed still apply regardless of card status.

Always make sure you understand the terms before applying.

Take Care,
