I have recently received my credit report from Experian and Trens Union.
I have found two damaging entry on both reports
One was from Sears Roebuck &Co. The other from a local Co, L.H.
Both reports indicating the accounts discharged through bankruptcy Ch.7.
I was an authorized user on both accounts and did not declare bankruptcy. The primary cardholder did.
Sears credit card has not been used in the past 5-6 years and had a zero balance. How can you discharge zero balance?
Account closed by the company would be the correct response in my opinion.
L.H. account was closed on February 25 2000 by the cardholder. Bankruptcy was filed two months later on April 28 2000. Again how can a company discharge a nonexistent account.
The most important question is. How can I get rid of those reports from Experian?
Trans Union deleted them both, stating that since I was not the principal cardholder, even if there was a balance I would not be legally responsible for it.
Any suggestion?

Your best bet is to tell Experian the same and try to get them to remove this as well. Tell them TU already did.

Contacting the creditors and expalining them that you are not legally responsible and your credit should not be damaged like this, might also help. Ask them to contact the credit bureaus and remove that entry.

And get your report from Equifax, those entries might be there, too.
