after reading on your site the 'how low can we go' promotion from next card, i attempted (six times!) to apply. Each time I clicked on the disclosures section before furnishing any info about me, the offerings repeatedly showed 9.9 fixed. WHERE is the 2.9 option?

Stacey,
NextCard's rates vary based on your credit score. I know that they do offer the 2.9% rate to select applicants because we have received many e-mails confirming this. The way they cover themselves is the phrase "as low as". Unfortunately, the only way that you can find out what rate that they are willing to offer you is to fill out an application.
Hope this helps!
