all I need is info on where to find The LOWEST Fixed interest rate on a credit card known to man. I need to make some transfers and get OUT of debt ASAP !

Jody,

I believe that one of the lowest rates out there is offered by Pulaski Bank at 6.99% (http://www.pulaskibank.com), but it’s a variable and not fixed rate.

Also, remember, just because a rate is stated as fixed doesn’t mean that it will stay that way. Card issuers are known to change the terms and conditions stated for fixed rate cards.

FirstUSA did this to my dad. They sent the little notice with his bill saying they were changing him from 9.99 fixed to variable. He called them up and said he didn’t want to accept the new changes and to close the account which allowed him to continue paying off his balance at 9.99. The fine print on these notices usually states that if you use your card, you automatically agree to the new terms unless you notify them otherwise. Always read the fine print!!
