Hello, Thank you in advance for any help you can offer. My question is this:
I have had credit problems in the past. My fiancee is trying to help me improve my credit score. He has added me onto his credit card accounts. Will this help? Do the cc companies report on BOTH of us when it is the same account?
Sorry if I am unclear.
Thanks,
Lisa

It depends. Were you added to the account as a joint account holder or an authorized user? Either way, the accounts will show up on both of your credit reports. I think being a joint account holder helps your credit rating more than being an authorized user would, but by the same token it also carries an increase in liability should the account be in default.

It will if he added you as an acount co-holder, not an authorised user. Co-holders are responsible for repaying the debt, AUs are not.
Do the cc companies report on BOTH of us when it is the same account?
AUs are most often not reported, joint (co-) holders are. Check your report about 60 days after he added you and verify that you are reported.
