Hi I need some advise. I presently have a Capital One credit card with a large balance. Right now I have 0% interest until June. After that it will be 19%. I pay on time and pay more than the minimum. One problem 4 years ago my husband declared bankrupcy. If I pay everything on time why can’t I find a card that I can transfer my balance at a lower interest rate. I’m told there out there. Any advise?
Thank you in advance for answering my questions.

Laura,

Thanks for your post! Did you get the Capital One card in just your name? I assume this is their platinum card. If you got this card in your name, chances are that you can qualify for another low introductory rate offer with another card issuer. I would wait until May or so to apply, though. You can find our ratings report of cards that offer low intro. rates by visiting the “Card Reports” section of our site and then clicking on “Low Intro Rate Reports”.

Hope this helps!

Dear Mr. Arnold,

Thank you for answering my email so fast I never expected that. Not only
that you answered the email personally. Your true to your word.

Yes, the card is in my name and the card is a gold card. I will wait until
May and go to your site to look for another card that I can transfer my
balance. I have been paying on time and more that the minimum, so that
should help me establish better credit.

Thank you again for replying so fast. Have a great weekend!
