8MONTH AGO, I GOT A VISA GOLD CARD FROM PROVIDIAN. I AM KEEPING GOOD PAYMENT UNITL NOW. MY CREDIT LIMIT IS FROM $500 TO $1800. I WANT TO BUY A CAR AND I HAVE TO GET SOME LOAN. BECAUSE OF MY CREDIT ,IT IS HARD TO GET THOSE THING.
SO I WANT TO GET A WORD FOR GOOD CREDIT HISTORY.
HOW CAN I BUILD A GOOD CREDIT?
p.S. LET ME INTRODUCE MY FRIEND STORy.
I HAVE A FRIEND WHO IS A RESIDENT OF USA,HAVE STAYED FOR LESS THAN 2YEARS, HAD JUST 3 DEPARTMET STORE CARDS
BUT LAST MONTH, SHE GOT 2 PLATIUM CARDS(ONE IS CITI,THE OTHER IS AT&T) BEFORE THESE CARDS SHE NEVER GOT CREDIT CARDS(SECURED OR UNSECURED)
I WAS VERY CURIOS ABOUT THAT. IF I JUST USE DEPARTMENT STORE CARDS WELL, CAN I GET PLATIUM CARDS? I WANT TO ASK A EXPERT. UNTIL NOW I THOUGHT THAT PLATIUM CARD IS FOR VERY EXCELLENT CREDIT HISTORY CUSTOMER

You can get a car loan without having any credit history.
Actually I've started building my credit history by getting a car loan only 2 weeks after I've arrived to US.
As about the Platinum cards. It seems to me that the most important thing is to have at least 2 years of credit history without any delinquency

I started getting good offers of unsecured cards in the mail just 6 months after using a secured card with no previous credit history at all. After 8 months I qualified for a Platinum Citibank card. It is much easier, cheaper and faster to build credit than to re-build it.
