Have you been researching these companies? I work at CCCS and some of my client’s have asked about them…I’m not sure how to advise them. In my experience if you don’t pay your creditors, they will sue for a garnishment/lien.

I have a very large amount of credit card debt and a substantial amount of my income is derived from overtime pay which has temporarily ceased. I have enough money to make next month’s credit card payments but after that I will only be able to make partial payments.Come November, I will be able to make the full payments again (even without over time pay).My question is, should I go it alone and try to work out a repayment plan with my creditors myself or would I get better terms by going with a nonprofit credit consulting organization. I realize I will probably have to surrender my credit cards and I also have a house with a second mortage, so I can’t go the cosolidation loan route.
