Some time ago, Sony through Citibank issued a card to us. We've never
used it and have no lliterature tellling us how to cancel the card.
Recently, they advised that they'd sent us a new card and want us to activate
it. How do I contact them to cancel the card?
Neither I nor my wife are much in favor of having or carrying more
than one major card. Needless to say, we're constantly bombarded with credit
card offers and I'm not certain just how it came to pass that we've been sent
a Sony card. We have had an excellent credit rating the entire 42 years
we've been married and are concerned about jeopardizing this. Thanks for any
help you can provide.

Hi Jim,
I would call and ask them how to cancel. Some companies say they want the card cut up and sent back, others just tell you to cut it up and throw it away. Not activating it isn't enough, though. You have to actually close the account, or it stays open. And I would check on it later, to make sure.

Easy just called the number in the back of your card and tell them that you want to cancel the acount. Give them couple of day before the card will be cancel.
