I need some insight, Jan. of this year I applied for an American express Blue at the time I thought I was offered 6 months 0% interest for balance transfers in addition to purchases. I know currently they offer it on purchases only. Usually I am pretty good at making sure I am clear on what I am getting & was curious if any one else had recieved an offer such as this through Blue. If I am wrong then so be it I can accept that, I would just like to make sure.

I am about 90% sure that as of January, Blue was offered with 0% APR for new purchases only, not BTs. I have been watching that card. If you got a pre-approved application, though, it might be a different story, since credit card issuers sometimes send those offers out with terms different from what you would get if you went to their site or filled out a non-pre-approved application.
Although, it will not give you the answer to your exact question, you can call AmEx and find out what your terms are.

tboehnlein,
I just updated the Blue from American Express review today (see link below) and found that it offered a 9.9% balance transfer rate for the life of the loan. The 0% rate seems to be available for purchases only. You may want to contact a customer service rep and ask if he or she knows if the 0% rate was previously offered for balance transfers. Credit card issuer's tend to change their promotional rates quite frequently, though I do not recall the 0% rate available for both purchases and balance transfers, it may have been.
