I made the mistake of closing my credit union card 2 months ago. Any way this was my oldest tradeline. Do most companies allow you to reissue and open up and old account and then report the account from the original opening date. Is this possible. I hope I can do this. I don’t see why not. If they have to pull a credit report that will not be a problem.

Most major card companies will just take a request for reinstatement-usually requires for them to update your income and then pull your report. If you meet their reinstatement criteria, then you are reopened with all the same info as before. I’m not sure about credit unions; you’d have to check w/them to see what their policy is.
