Hi, I'm new here and have been trying to post this message forever! I hope it works this time.
Was just wondering if anyone with these cards has received a credit line increase after the 6 months? I have paid on time every month and stayed within my credit limits.
I have poor credit, but I'm trying to get some good credit going to counter the bad while I try to clear up the bad stuff.

I received an Orchard Mastercard with a $750 limit back in February and was told I would be elidigable for a credit limit increase after 6 months. They used Experian. At the same time I had also applied for a Chase Cashbuilder Platinum and was approved for a $2000 limit. They used TU. Whats odd is my Exp score at the time was about the same as TU according to Credit Keeper. (647 at the time)
Ive read on posts that Orchard gives decent CLI's and Chase is stingy. As soon as I find out something I will post.
I also applied for the Target card in February and received a $200 limit. They used EQU and for some reason is my lowest score. I was told they would review for a CLI after 6 months and possibly the Target Visa. Again as soon as I find out something I will post.

I orginally received a $300 limit with Orchard Bank. After a few months, I asked for an increase. The only thing they were willing to do was give me a $100 increase for a fee. I didn't do it at first, but a few weeks later, I decided to do so to make the card more useable for me. After about a year, they gave me a free increase to $600. At around the year and a half mark (about a month ago) I got another bump to $800.
Paying for an increase is probably a bad idea. I only felt it was good for me at the time because I was maxing out the $300 limit to easily so I was forced to use another card. If you want an automatic limit increase, I would suggest charging as much as you can (up to the limit) and paying if it off every month. They should then realize that you need an increase. Sadly, the best way to get them to increase, though, is to carry a balance for a few cycles. I've had to do that this year, and that's how I got the last $200 increase. The increase from $400 to $600, though, was made when I was just paying the card off every month.
