Retirement Credit Card

Hi: I want to apply for a credit card to do a transfer to.
I have score or 759 All my credit reports have me listed at working at my former employer.
Technically, I get a retirement check from them for 1100 each month. Income pension is $13000 per year.
When I went to one site and it asks:
- who is your employer and phone number and
-then asks for HOUSEHOLD total income year ($135000 per year. with my $13000) My husbands credit score is 770...never a late payment....great credit Always.

How do I handle the Name of current employer.
Should I use , my home based business company and phone number and additional income of $$7,000 or is this still to low to get a $4-5K credit card?
I don't have a tax return with income for my home based busienss for last year as I was still working and we pay phones, cable and everything on time.

I do some coaching on the side but none of this is reflected in my last IRS filing as I was still working at former job.
I currently have 3 credit cards and want to transfer my balance ($3000) to a 0 or low interest card. BK Chap 13 removed last year. Perfect credit until I lost my job 7 years ago. I pulled all credit reports and there is not one single negative item on them. (thanks to this board)
With everything removed and my long history of credit with no late payments my score jumped back up.

Any ideas? I don't want to answer in a way they I will get denied. $3000 represent all my outstanding credit owed...no late payments. If need be, I can wait 2 months as I will be working again but I really wanted to do the BT.

have you checked any of your existing cards for offers? I dont know what to tell you on the new offers. I dont think that my employment has every been verified that I am aware of. I am sure self-employed folks apply for credit and get approved.

Employment and salary are very difficult if not impossible to verify. Due to privacy laws employers will reveal very little to third parties. Example: I always put down my direct dial number when asked for a business phone. I have never received a call to verify employment. HR people I have asked have told me it is company policy to not respond to any inquiries that do not have a court order attached.
