(I posted this originally in the wrong forum…sorry)
Hi. I need a quick response to a visa or mastercard. immediate on line approval. I currently have an $8000 credit line with Sam’s Discover. No other credit cards and good credit going back to 1980 on my reports. had a Chapter 13 8 years ago but everything on my credit is squeaky clean…as far as I can see. Mortgage broker pulled my credit 6 months ago and laughed at my worrying and said my score was close to 800. Don’t know what they use.
I have a long history of good credit from 1975 to 1996 due to an accident/disability and losing job. Everything back to normal now.

Is it possible to get immediate approval and quick mailing of a card. My PG score is 766. I just don’t want to wait 30 days…1 to 2 weeks is fine.

American Express can overnight you a temporary card. It will be valid for 90 days, meanwhile, they will snail mail u your permanent card.

My original post states that I need a visa or mastercard. The discounters for carpeting and major appliances do not take Amex….I already have Amex with a very high limit. (my husband’s card). We are doing purchases of over $10,000. By going to a discounter, I can save well over $3,500. But they don’t take American Express. These are vendors through Direct Buy and they don’t do financing either.

I never realized they wouldn’t take Amex and I am taking delivery in a couple of weeks. I have to pay right before they deliver.

You’ll get instant approval and your card in 7 business days from either US Bank or Bank of America, these two banks practically guarantee swift approval and delivery. They’re about the only ones, a distant third would be Citi. All others have stringent processing guidelines, like Chase for example.

Citi Mastercards (Platinum, Diamond) are instant approval
offers.

Of course I don’t think this is overnight, but my friend had his
approved within 4 days.

Actually Chase has about the same timeframe, but as fenster mentioned,
they are more strict.
